What is the Orange Chamber of Commerce?

The Chamber is a private, membership-based organization that unites businesses in an effort to promote economic prosperity in our region and provides businesses with tools to grow. Our strength lies in the number and diversity of our business members. The Chamber often works with our local government to improve the town’s business climate, but is not a department of any governmental entity.

Why should my company join the Orange Chamber of Commerce?

With member companies representing a variety of industries, the Chamber serves as an advocate for business, a community partner and a resource to grow your business.

Does my business need to be located in Orange to join the Chamber?

Some of our members are located outside Orange. The Chamber addresses issues on a local, regional and on occasion the state level, so companies benefit from Chamber membership no matter where they’re located.

Are dues tax deductible?

90% of annual membership dues are tax deductible as a necessary and ordinary business expense.

Are small businesses involved in the Chamber?

Over 90% of our members are small businesses. The Chamber works to support these businesses by providing skill development, networking and marketing opportunities and resources to address the full business lifecycle.

What types of events does the Chamber offer?

The Chamber offers numerous networking programs, membership events, skill development programs for small business professionals, public affairs programs and annual events. Click here to view a list of upcoming events on our "home page" calendar.

Do I need to be a member to attend Chamber functions?

Chamber programs are a benefit of membership and are intended for employees of member companies only; however, a few annual events are open to the public. Additionally, we welcome potential members to attend one of our programs to learn more about us.

What if I have a concern about a governmental decision that affects my ability to grow my business?

One of the Chamber’s primary areas of focus is helping keep our local economic climate as conducive to growing a business as possible. We recognize that quality of life, funding for charitable organizations and governmental budgets all rest on a productive economy, and we are committed to ensuring public officials are given the full facts about how their decisions will affect business.

How can I get more involved in the Chamber?

There are numerous ways to get involved with the Orange Chamber. Attending events, participating in a committee and sponsoring a “Business After Hours” event or other programs are all ways to become more engaged and expand your contacts within the business community.

How do I make changes to my company’s listing in the printed and online directories?

If your company’s information has changed due to a move, new employees, change or addition of a website, simply email us with updates to your company’s listing.

Does the Chamber provide relocation and visitor information?

The Chamber offers a variety of information designed for residential or business relocation.
